A North Carolina woman has won a $100,000 lottery prize. This was reported by UPI.

Winner Rose Anderson said she had no plans to gamble, but when she went to a store to restock on drinks, she decided to buy a Quick Pick ticket for the Powerball drawing. As a result, he won a $100,000 prize.

“I didn’t plan to stop there that day, but I remembered that I didn’t have Diet Mountain Dew. I guess I should be thankful for my thirst. I couldn’t say anything. I literally sat and stared at it for a while,” she said.

Anderson also added that she will share her prize with her fiancé. He decided to use part of his half to pay some bills and give the other half to people in need.
