Ukraine allocated 135.8 billion hryvnias for the needs of the security and defense sector in October.
Ukraine maintains a high level of defense spending. During 10 months of this year, they reached almost 60% of the total amount of expenditures of the general fund of the state budget, the Ministry of Finance reported on Monday, November 20.
“In the first 10 months of this year, the expenditures of the general fund of the state budget in the security and defense sector amounted to 1391.2 billion hryvnias or 59.3% of the total amount of expenditures of the general fund of the state budget. In October – 135.8 billion UAH,” the report said.
It is indicated that the funds are allocated to:

financial allowances for military personnel, private and commanding officers, police officers;

procurement of military/special equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, personal protective equipment (helmets, body armor and other special equipment), fuels and lubricants, food;

medical support;

other types of expenses to support the activities of relevant bodies and formations.
We remind you that on November 9, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the state budget for 2024 with a revenue share of 1.768 trillion. UAH and costs 3.35 trillion. Hryvnia Almost 50% of the costs will go to the defense of Ukraine.
