The DTEK company transferred 914 emergency teams of power engineers from the OSR DTEK Network in Kyiv, Kyiv, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk and Donetsk regions to an enhanced operating mode on the eve of winter, the company’s press service reported .
“Each emergency team of power engineers includes from 2 to 5 specialists. They are equipped with the necessary special equipment: car lifts, mobile electrical laboratories, earth-moving equipment, etc.,” the message said.
DTEK added that it allocated UAH 105.6 million to create an additional emergency supply of equipment for emergency crews, so that in the event of bad weather or an enemy attack, they can quickly restore power to customers.
“In addition, electrical engineers have developed an algorithm for mutual assistance – if necessary, specialists from different operators of the DTEK Network distribution system will be able to help each other and will instantly restore light to customers’ homes,” the company said.
According to Alexander Fomenko, CEO of DTEK Grids, for 10 months, as part of the repair and investment program, the company repaired or modernized 1.7 thousand substations and distribution points, 4,115 km of overhead lines and about 6 thousand cable lines.
Let’s recall that it was previously reported that the DTEK group completed the planned repair work on all 19 power units of the thermal power plants before the start of the heating season.
