The agrarians of Zaporozhye and Nikolaev regions have completed the collection of all crops.
As of November 17, Ukrainian farmers harvested nearly 74 million tons of new grain and oilseed crops. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Harvesting of grains and leguminous crops was carried out in an area of 10.104 million hectares with a yield of 53.2 c/ha. In total, more than 53.78 million tons of grain were threshed.
Farmers threshed: 23.707 million tons of corn from more than 3.195 million hectares (yield – 74.2 c/ha), 22.409 million tons of wheat from 4.694 million hectares (yield – 47.7 c/ha), 5.89 million tons of barley million hectares (yield – 39.2 c/ha) and 398.2 thousand tons of peas from 154.4 thousand hectares (yield – 25.8 c/ha).
207.1 thousand tons of buckwheat were collected from 139.6 thousand hectares (yield – 14.8 c/ha). 179 thousand tons of millet were threshed from 79.2 thousand hectares (yield – 22.6 c/ha). 991 thousand tons of other grain and leguminous crops were threshed from 337.4 thousand hectares.
In Ukraine, on November 17, 20.239 million tons of oilseeds were harvested from more than 8.139 million hectares. 11.586 million tons of sunflower seeds have been collected from over 4.947 million hectares (yield – 23.4 c/ha). 4.75 million tons of soybeans were threshed from more than 1.796 million hectares (yield – 26.4 c/ha). 4.005 million tons of rapeseed from 1.396 million hectares (yield – 28.7 c/ha).
More than 10.816 million tons of sugar beets have been dug up from 227.1 thousand hectares with a yield of 476.2 c/ha.
The agrarians of Zaporozhye and Nikolaev regions completed the collection of all agricultural crops.
Let us remind you that this year in Ukraine the harvest forecast has been improved several times. At the end of September, it was estimated at 79 million tons. This is +10% on last year’s result. A record buckwheat harvest is expected in Ukraine.
