It is indicated that the document was signed following a meeting in Baku between the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov and the Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia Dubravka Dzhedovic Handanovic.

Thus, Serbia will become the eighth buyer of Azerbaijani gas in Europe. Currently, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia and Turkey buy gas from Baku. By the end of 2023, deliveries will begin in Hungary.
Let’s remember that in 2022, Azerbaijan increased gas exports by 18% – out of 22.3 billion cubic meters, supplies to Europe reached 11.4 billion cubic meters (+39%).
For 2023, gas exports from Azerbaijan are planned at 24.5 billion cubic meters, of which about 12 billion cubic meters will go to Europe.
