In the ten months of 2023, goods worth $52.2 billion were imported into Ukraine, and goods worth $29.8 billion were exported.
Ukraine’s trade turnover for January–October 2023 is $82 billion. The State Customs Service announced this on Friday, November 10.
“In January-October 2023, goods worth $52.2 billion were imported into Ukraine, and goods worth $29.8 billion were exported,” the report said.
At the same time, taxable imports were $43.4 billion, which is 83% of the total volume of imported goods.
The tax burden per 1 kg of taxable imports in January-October 2023 was $0.49/kg, which is 44% more than the same period in 2022.
Countries that import the most goods to Ukraine: China – $8.4 billion, Poland – $5.5 billion and Germany – $4.1 billion.
Ukraine exported the most to Poland – $4.1 billion, Romania – $3.3 billion, Turkey – $2 billion.

Of the total volume of goods imported in January–October 2023, 65% consisted of the following categories of goods: machinery, equipment and transportation – $16 billion, chemical products – $9.3 billion, fuel and energy products – $8.7 billion.
The top three most exported goods from Ukraine include: food products – $17.7 billion, metals and products made from them – $3.3 billion, machinery, equipment and transport – $2.5 billion.
During the customs clearance of the export of goods for which an export duty was established, 500.7 million hryvnias were paid to the budget.
Let’s remember that at the end of October, Ukraine exported 4.8 million tons of agricultural products, which is 15% more than in September.
As you know, in September, Ukraine exported 4.2 million tons of agricultural products. Then the Ukrainian Agricultural Business Club called this indicator good against the backdrop of the ongoing Russian attacks on the Danube port.
