One of the wells is exploration, and the second is production, in a gas field that is more than 50 years old.
Two more gas wells with a total daily flow rate of 500 thousand cubic meters started in Ukraine. Ukrgasvydobuvannya announced this on Monday, November 6.
“One of them is exploratory in a recently discovered field, the second is production in a field that is more than 50 years old. The location for drilling the exploration well was determined thanks to the previously performed 3D seismic survey,” said the statement.
It was noted that the second well was drilled in an old field, with deposits of high residual potential, but characterized by a complex geological structure. The results of drilling this well made it possible to increase gas production by 156 thousand cubic meters.
Remind us that in August a new gas field was discovered in Ukraine, the reserves of which may reach 1 billion cubic meters.
Ukrgasvydobuvannya also announced the highest daily production in three years.
