In the interbank market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 11 kopecks during the day, but later fell to yesterday’s levels – 36.25 on sale.
The National Bank continued to strengthen the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar and significantly strengthened it against the euro. This was confirmed by the regulator’s data on Wednesday, November 1.
So, for tomorrow the official exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar is set at 36.2655 hryvnia per 1 dollar (-0.0157 UAH). This is a new low for the US currency since July 2022.
In turn, the euro exchange rate immediately fell by 31 kopecks. On November 2, the single European currency was worth 38.2311 hryvnia per 1 euro (-0.3140 UAH).
In the interbank foreign exchange market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 11 kopecks during the day, but later fell to yesterday’s levels – 36.23-36.25.
But the average cash dollar exchange rate today has increased by 3 kopecks, despite the fall in the official exchange rate – to 37.85 hryvnia on sale. The Euro can be bought at 40.34 UAH.
We remind you that last week the NBU reduced the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market to $676 million. The regulator also bought $1.55 million.
In addition, last week the National Bank announced a sharp reduction in the discount rate.
