Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainians have bought and registered 49,600 new cars, which is 60% more than in the same period in 2022.
In October of this year, Ukrainian citizens bought more than 5,700 new passenger cars, which is 83% more than last year. Ukravtoprom reported this on Wednesday, November 1.
It was noted that compared to September, consumer activity in this segment of the car market increased by 0.7%.
The biggest demand last month was for Toyota cars, of which 929 were registered. Compared to 2022, October sales of new Toyotas in Ukraine increased by 40%.
The second most popular brand was Volkswagen, whose car registrations tripled to 574 units. Skoda is in the third position in the ranking – 477 cars (+46%).
BMW has the fourth result – 461 cars (+255%). Renault closed out the top five with 432 cars (+60%).
The following brands are also in the top 10 for October: Nissan – 309 units; Hyundai – 240; Mercedes-Benz – 224 cars; Mazda – 220; Peugeot – 200 units.
At the same time, the title of bestseller of the month in the new passenger car market went to Renault Duster – 387 registrations.
Overall, from January to October 2023, Ukrainians bought and registered 49,600 new passenger cars, which is 60% more than in the same period last year.
