The average cash dollar exchange rate decreased to 38.10 Hryvnia. In the interbank market, the price of the American currency also fell.
The dollar exchange rate began to decline in the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Friday, October 20.
So, the average exchange rate of the dollar in Ukraine decreased by 5 kopecks – to 38.10 UAH, and the euro also decreased by 5 kopecks – to 40.45 UAH.
In exchange offices they bought a dollar for an average of 37.60 Hryvnia, and a euro for 39.75 Hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate was at the level of 36.54-36.56 (buying and selling), which decreased by 5 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The previous day, the National Bank again raised the official dollar exchange rate. It crossed the level before the transition to the flexibility regime (36.57 UAH/dollar).
The official hryvnia to dollar exchange rate today is set at 36.6118 UAH/1 dollar. (+0.0502 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 38.6511 UAH/1 euro (+0.0421 UAH).
We remind you that last week the NBU sold $575 million in the interbank market. This is half as much as in the first week after the exchange rate policy change, which indicated the stabilization of the general market situation. At the same time, the official hryvnia exchange rate has been falling for three days in a row.
