The official exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar on Wednesday increased by 12 kopecks, and the euro immediately increased in price by 27 kopecks.

The National Bank increased the official dollar exchange rate for the first time in a week. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, October 17.

Thus, the official hryvnia to dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 36.4507 UAH/1 dollar (+0.1210 UAH). And the euro exchange rate will be 38.5503 UAH/1 euro (+0.2697 UAH).

In today’s interbank market, the dollar exchange rate increased by only 1 kopeck – to 36.40-36.42 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).

In the cash market, the American currency rose in price by 5 kopecks, up to 38.15 hryvnia per dollar and was at the level before the NBU’s decision to switch to a flexible exchange rate.

We remind you that last week the NBU sold $575 million in the interbank market. This is half as much as in the first week after the exchange rate policy change, indicating the stabilization of the general market situation.
