The average cash dollar exchange rate fell to UAH 38.10, and the euro exchange rate fell to UAH 40.50.
The hryvnia exchange rate on the cash market continues to grow at the beginning of the new working week. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Monday, October 16.
The average dollar rate fell by another 5 kopecks – to 38.10 Hryvnia, the euro rate decreased by 10 kopecks – to 40.50 Hryvnia.
In exchange offices they bought a dollar for an average of 37.60 UAH, a euro for 39.80 UAH.
In the interbank market, the rate decreased by 2 kopecks compared to the previous day’s closing and was at the level of 36.33-36.35 (buying and selling).
In two weeks of the newly managed flexibility regime, the National Bank lowered the official dollar exchange rate by 20 kopecks.
The official exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar today is set at 36.3688 hryvnia per 1 dollar (-0.0243 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 38.2782 UAH per 1 euro (-0.3640 UAH).
We remind you that in the second week after the introduction of the exchange rate flexibility regime, the NBU sold $575 million in the interbank market. This is half of the higher number in the first week, which indicates the stabilization of the general situation in the market.
