Four Dutch companies must pay 160 thousand euros in fines for the construction of the Crimean Bridge.
Four Dutch companies have been ordered to pay fines worth 160 thousand euros for helping to build a bridge from Russia to temporarily occupied Crimea across the Kerch Strait. The press service of the Dutch Prosecutor’s Office reported this on October 13.
“Eight people will perform community service from 20 to 60 hours. The companies must pay fines totaling 160 thousand euros,” the statement said.
It was noted that by violating the sanctions, a company benefited from the supply of prohibited goods and services. This illegally obtained benefit in the amount of 71,330 euros was seized by the prosecutor’s office.
We would like to remind you that in recent years, the Dutch prosecutor’s office has been investigating construction companies involved in the construction of the Crimean Bridge between 2014 and 2017.
Criminal cases against four companies and eight people were closed out of court. Prosecutors accused these companies and individuals of knowingly selling parts and technical assistance for the construction of the bridge.
