Last week, 764.7 thousand hectares of winter grain and 49 thousand hectares of winter rape were sown.
In Ukraine, at the beginning of October, 2,992 thousand hectares of winter crops were sown. The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported this on Tuesday, October 3.
Specifically, 1,087 thousand hectares were sown with rapeseed, 1,906 thousand hectares with grain, of which 1,743 thousand hectares were wheat, 109 thousand hectares were barley, 53.6 thousand hectares were rye.
In the past week, 764.7 thousand hectares of winter grains and 49 thousand hectares of winter rape were sown.
Farmers in the Sumy region sowed the most winter grains – 87% of the forecast. In all regions, the sowing of winter rapeseed is being completed.

We would like to remind you that the previous day, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy again raised the forecast for this year’s grain and oilseed harvest, taking into account the better yield of the main crops.
In the 2023/2024 marketing year, which began on July 1, Ukraine exported 6.038 million tons of grain and legumes.
