The need for imported electricity has disappeared against the backdrop of falling air temperatures and increased capacity in the Ukrainian energy system.
Ukraine does not import electricity from the European Union on Monday, October 2. This was reported by Ukrainergo.
“Today there is an export of the energy system. It is carried out in Slovakia and Moldova. The total volume is 4555 MWh, with a maximum power of up to 396 MW at certain times,” the message said.
According to the company, electricity consumption in Ukraine is decreasing. Yesterday, October 1, the maximum consumption at night, despite the decrease of the average daily temperature by 3°C, was 1.8% lower than the previous Sunday, September 24.
At the same time, due to hostility and other reasons, 404 communities remain without electricity in the morning.
Earlier on Monday it became known that a power unit at a thermal power plant in Ukraine started operating ahead of schedule. This added 100 MW of capacity to the grid.
We remind you that electrical engineers have increased the reliability of electricity supplies in eastern Ukraine. They put the high-voltage overhead line back into service.
