The investigating judge of Kyiv’s Goloseevsky District Court seized a bank building that was sold at a reduced price Khreshchatyk. The Kiev City Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Friday, September 29.

“The building was sold in violation of the procedure established by law and at a reduced price, as a result of which the state suffered damage of UAH 161 million,” the statement said.
As part of the criminal proceedings initiated on this fact, the prosecutor’s office previously reported suspicion to the authorized person of the Deposit Guarantee Fund – the liquidator of the bank Khreshchatyk on causing losses to a financial institution due to the sale of property at a reduced price (part 2 of article 28, part 3 of article 365-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation is ongoing.
