The average rate of the dollar in exchange offices fell to 38.10 UAH, and the euro rate fell to 40.70 UAH.
The hryvnia exchange rate on the cash market rose at the end of the working week against both the dollar and the euro. It was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to market tracking data as of Friday, September 29.
So, the average dollar exchange rate decreased by 10 kopecks – to 38.10 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell by another 5 kopecks – to 40.70 Hryvnia, after which it decreased by 15 kopecks in the last two days.
In exchange offices they buy a dollar for an average of 37.60 UAH, a euro for 40.00 UAH.
The official fixed exchange rate of the NBU dollar since July 21 last year is 36.5686 hryvnia per dollar. The official exchange rate of the euro increased slightly and now stands at 38.5543 UAH per euro (+0.0037 UAH).
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance expressed concern about the strong Hryvnia. After that, its rate started to decrease. But this week the hryvnia has strengthened.
The Office of the President also pointed to the benefits of a “very light” devaluation.
