Since the beginning of the year, Ukrgasvydobuvannya has installed 58 new gas wells with a total average daily flow rate of 5.3 million cubic meters.

In Ukraine, five more wells were put into operation with an additional production of 500 thousand cubic meters of gas per day. Ukrgasvydobuvannya announced this on Thursday, September 28.

It was noted that four wells were drilled in “old” fields that were 45-55 years old. And another is completely new. For the first time, gas from it entered Ukraine’s gas transportation system this month.

“To achieve our goals of increasing production, we combine: using modern technologies to discover new deposits in depleted fields and increasing investments in research and development of new areas,” said Oleg Tolmachev, temporary acting general director of Ukrgasvydobuvannya.

Appropriate strategies in one of the aforementioned “old” fields made it possible to increase daily gas production by 35% over the past two years, and in another – by almost 50%.

In total, since the beginning of the year, Ukrgasvydobuvannya has installed 58 new wells with a total average daily flow rate of 5.3 million cubic meters of gas.

Let’s remember that in August a new gas field was discovered in Ukraine, whose reserves may reach 1 billion cubic meters.

Also last month, two new high-yield wells began operating in Ukraine. They produce more than 430 thousand cubic meters of gas per day.

Ukraine has accumulated the planned amount of gas ahead of schedule
