This year, Ukraine’s gross domestic product is growing faster than expected.
The real gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in the second quarter of this year increased by 19.5% compared to the second quarter of 2022. This was confirmed by the operational assessment of the State Statistics Service, published on Friday, September 22.
At the same time, compared to the first quarter of 2023, the increase in real GDP was 0.8% (taking seasonal factors into account).
As is known, real GDP is a measure of output per capita in dollars of constant purchasing power, while the influence of inflationary processes is reduced.

We remind you that in 2022, the economy of Ukraine will lose 29.2%. This happened due to the outbreak of a large-scale war in Russia.
In 2023, Ukraine’s GDP will grow faster than expected. The Ministry of Economy predicts that by the end of the year the growth will be about 4%.
In turn, the National Bank calculated that in the second quarter of the year, the Ukrainian economy grew by 18.1%.
