Total EU support for Ukraine has reached around €70 billion since the start of the full Russian invasion.
Ukraine received another tranche of macro-financial assistance from the European Union in the amount of 1.5 billion euros. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal in Twitter on Friday, September 22.
“Today, Ukraine received the eighth tranche of macro-financial assistance in the amount of €1.5 billion from the European Union. Overall, the EU budget support for Ukraine in 2023 amounts to €13.5 billion,” he wrote .
According to Shmygal, total support for Ukraine from the EU has reached around €70 billion since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression.
We remind you that on September 21, the United States gave Ukraine a grant of $1.25 billion. The money is given on non-refundable terms.
It was also reported that Ukraine expects $42 billion in external financing by 2024.
