Farmers sowed more than 1.58 million hectares of winter crops

514 thousand hectares of winter wheat, 47 thousand hectares of winter barley and 24 thousand hectares of winter rye were sown, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.

So far, September 19, Ukrainian agricultural producers have sown 1.585 million hectares with winter crops, including 1 million hectares sown with rapeseed and 585 thousand hectares with grain crops. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

514 thousand hectares of winter wheat, 47 thousand hectares of winter barley and 24 thousand hectares of winter rye were sown.

In the past week, farmers sowed 336 thousand hectares of winter crops for grain.

The Ministry of Agriculture reports that most of the winter grain crops were sown in the Sumy region – 84 thousand hectares (81% of the projected area), winter rape in the Dnepropetrovsk region – 103.6 thousand hectares (82.5 %).
