The largest amount of costs is allocated to wages with accruals – UAH 769 billion, notes the Ministry of Finance.
The amount of expenditures of the general fund of the state budget for January-August 2023 reached UAH 1.88 trillion. The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reported this on Tuesday, September 19.
“For January-August 2023, the total amount of cash costs of the general fund of the state budget was UAH 1,888.6 billion. In August, the costs reached UAH 248.4 billion,” the statement said.
According to the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, the largest amount of expenses is aimed at:

wages with accruals – 769 billion UAH (in August – 99.1 billion UAH),

to pay for the use of goods and services – UAH 464.8 billion (in August – UAH 58.5 billion),

for social security – 346.5 billion UAH (in August – 41.9 billion UAH),
-
for transfers to local budgets – UAH 100.4 billion (in August – UAH 8.1 billion),
-
for servicing the public debt – 159.7 billion UAH (in August – 31.6 billion UAH).
