The predicted balance of natural gas in storage required for the heating period has been achieved.
The total amount of natural gas in underground gas storage facilities (UGS) in Ukraine has reached 14.7 billion cubic meters. The Ministry of Energy announced this on Tuesday, September 19.
It has been indicated that it is possible to fulfill ahead of schedule the plan of the Cabinet of Ministers to achieve the predicted balance of natural gas in the storage facilities necessary to complete the heating period.
“Today, the entire energy and oil and gas industry is actively preparing for the new heating period, which will take place under the conditions of the Russian attack. The accumulation of gas in our storage facilities in advance on schedule is an important contribution to ensuring the country’s energy security,” said Energy Minister German Galushchenko.
Earlier it became known that preparations for the heating season in Ukraine are in the final stage. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said this.
