Last month, prices of seasonal vegetables dropped by 50%, and prices for several other products also dropped.
In August, the Ukrainian food market continued the trend of recent months – cheaper vegetables from the new harvest. This is confirmed by data from the State Statistics Service.
According to the statistical office:

carrots fell in price by 63.0% to 17.6 UAH per kilogram,
-
onions – by 50.0% to 18.1 UAH kilogram,
-
beets – by 54.9% to 14.6 UAH per kilogram,
-
cabbage – by 52.7% to 11.0 UAH per kilogram.

Buckwheat – by 5.5% to 45.6 UAH per kilogram.
Prices for alcohol and cigarettes
According to the State Statistics Service, as of August 2023:

the price of vodka increased by 0.3% to 120.8 UAH per 0.5 liter bottle,
-
table wines of Ukrainian brands decreased in price by 0.4% to 109.1 UAH per 0.7 liter bottle,

the price of beer increased by 0.2% to 31.3 UAH per 0.5 liter bottle,
-
premium cigarettes increased in price by 1.8% to 91.8 hryvnia per pack.
