In the last four months alone, the company’s energy businesses have increased electricity supply by 28% compared to the same period last year. In August, when consumption was at a record high for the summer due to the heat, electrical engineers generated 35% more electricity in the energy system than in August last year.
It is indicated that in just eight months of this year, the company’s thermal power plants released nearly 9.9 billion kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the average consumption of approximately 3.3 million families throughout the year.
“Energy specialists do everything possible to, on the one hand, repair, restore and prepare the stations for the peak load during the autumn-winter period, on the other hand, to reliably maintain and secure the energy system in other peak periods. For this, just last week they have already operated two power units of our TPPs, with a total capacity of almost 400 MW, which has been fixed,” said DTEK CEO Energy Ildar Saleev.
Earlier, DTEK announced the amount of expenses for the preparation of thermal power plants and mines for the upcoming winter. We are talking about billions of hryvnias.
DTEK also said how the energy industry’s efforts are being coordinated for the coming winter.
