The export of Ukrainian electricity to Europe is carried out during the day, and the import continues at night to meet the growing consumption.

Ukraine exported electricity to Europe for the second day in a row against the backdrop of stabilization in the energy system. This was reported by Ukrenergo on Tuesday, September 5.

It is said that yesterday evening the maximum consumption was 6% lower than the previous Monday, August 28. At the same time, the consumption at the beginning of this week was 3% higher than the previous working day – Friday, the 1st of September.

“Since the average daily temperature on September 4 was 1.6 ˚C lower than on September 1, the increase in consumption was mainly due to the start of the working week,” the report said.

According to Ukrenergo, today the energy system has electricity imports from Slovakia and Moldova. The total volume is 2246 MWh, with peak power at times up to 516 MW.

At the same time, today, from 11:00 to 13:00, electricity is exported to Slovakia with a total volume of 400 MWh.

The company recalled that a large-scale repair campaign is currently underway at the generation facilities. This significantly limits the possibility to meet the growing consumption in the evening hours.

Due to the conflict and other reasons, 434 settlements remain without electricity in Ukraine. As a result of artillery shelling by the Russians of the front-line territories, new damage to networks in the Donetsk region, Dnepropetrovsk region, Zaporozhye, Kharkiv region, Kherson region. The restoration of the power supply is carried out in a security situation with the permission of the military.

It was previously reported that Ukraine received aid from the EU energy system for four days in a row to cover the demand for electricity.
