Rinat Akhmetov’s SCM Group allocated UAH 12.7 billion for capital investments and modernization of enterprises in Ukraine in 6 months of 2023, or almost 25% more than in 2022. This is stated in the official statement of the group.
“The investments are aimed at ensuring the energy independence of Ukraine, the stable passage of the winter season, the restoration and development of key enterprises for the security of the metallurgical industry of Ukraine, etc.,” the report said.
SCM recalled that the first stage of the Tiligulskaya wind farm began operating in May, geological exploration, construction and drilling work were carried out in the gas fields.
“To ensure the stable passage of the winter season, the electrical networks damaged by shelling were modernized and repaired, the power units of the thermal power plants and their elements were overhauled. The modern treatment equipment was installed and the capital mine workings were equipped. . war in the Kiev region,” said the authors of the message.
Metinvest Group, in turn, is engaged in the repair of furnaces in Zaporizhstal and Kametstal, the restoration of mining and processing equipment of the Kryvyi Rih plants and the development of the production infrastructure of Pokrovskugol – the commissioning of new mine longwalls.
“In general, according to the results of 6 months of 2023, Ukrainian, associated and joint ventures of SCM investment group paid UAH 29.3 billion of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels. Of this amount, the UAH 24.3 billion was transferred to the state budget. Cuts in local budgets amounted to almost UAH 5 billion. UAH 4.3 billion were spent on social programs. The largest expenses were programs for residents of regions of presence, measures to improve labor safety and environmental protection,” the group’s statement indicated the service.
