SCM businesses and authorities have launched a humanitarian project Save lives

As part of the project, approximately 400,000 food packages will be delivered to Ukrainians from troubled regions.

Metinvest and DTEK, along with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the Office of the President and the authorities of the six cities, have launched the Save a Life humanitarian project.

The purpose of the project is to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe. For this, the purchase, delivery and transfer of food, water and essential goods to the cities were organized.

So far, 117 tons of products have been delivered to Ukraine, collected by more than 200 volunteer employees of Metinvest at the sorting center in Zaporozhye.

In total, at least 400,000 survival kits were contracted in Europe in March-April. Some of them have already been transferred to residents of Ukraine, the other part will form a strategic reserve of provisions for each of the six cities.

The aid collected in Europe goes to a hub in Poland. Moreover, the products are delivered to cities and regions of Ukraine for distribution.

The main partner cities of the Save a Life project are the Dnipro, Zaporozhye, Krivoy Rog, Kamenskoye, Pokrovsk, Kurakhovo.

The humanitarian project is open to collaboration with international companies wishing to join the aid. Financial assistance or humanitarian aid may be provided through the Do It Together Foundation.

Earlier it was reported that the Akhmetov Foundation is already delivering food packages to the regions of Kyiv, Kharkov, Donetsk and Luhansk. In total, 200,000 Ukrainians will receive food packages from the Fund.
