The average euro exchange rate on the cash market fell to UAH 41.60, while the dollar rose to UAH 37.60.
The hryvnia rose slightly against the euro at exchange offices. At the same time, the Ukrainian currency fell against the dollar. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Monday, August 14.
Thus, the average euro exchange rate decreased by 5 kopecks to UAH 41.60, while the dollar increased by 5 kopecks to UAH 37.60.
In the exchange offices, they bought euros at an average of 40.90 hryvnias, and the dollar – at 37.10 hryvnias.
The official fixed dollar exchange rate of the NBU has not changed since July 21 last year – 36.5686 Hryvnia per dollar. The official exchange rate of the euro decreased slightly and is now at UAH 40.2145/EUR (-0.0695 UAH).
Earlier it became known that the NBU sold more than $15 billion since the beginning of the year. At the same time, over the past week, the regulator sold $469.4 million to banks, and bought only $850,000.
