“In June, we expect more than $ 4.8 billion. In particular, through the mechanism of the World Bank, the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Germany, Japan, Italy, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia,” he said.
Marchenko recalled that with the help of this money they wanted to cover the budget deficit of $ 5 billion a month.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Finance noted that from May 1 to May 20, Ukraine independently financed its needs without external assistance, raising funds through the sale of bonds. military and their redemption of the National Bank.
And on May 20, it received grant funds from the US and UK for 504 million euros and 600 million euros of EU macro-financial assistance.
“Consequently, there is an opportunity to fully finance the needs that have accumulated in recent periods at the expense of these funds,” Marchenko said.
He assured that the growth of external financing will also stabilize the situation in the foreign exchange market.
According to the Ministry of Finance, in March, international support for Ukraine reached $ 3 billion, in April – $ 1.7 billion, and in May – approximately $ 2 billion, with a required $ 5 billion per month.
From the beginning of the war, military bonds became the main source of budget replenishment, the National Bank “printed” UAH 120 billion, or $ 4.1 billion, in three months.
