For seven months of this year, budgets of all levels received 173.7 million hryvnias from the activities of currency exchange offices. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Daniil Getmantsev on Telegram on Saturday, August 12.
“Sustainable budget revenues continue to be provided by payers with currency exchange points! In seven months of this year, 173.7 million hryvnias were received for currency exchange points in budgets of all levels,” he wrote.
According to Getmantsev, as of August 1, 3,753 exchange offices for 60 legal entities were included in the register of exchange points.
“Compared to the beginning of the year, the number of exchange points increased by 13, although there was a slight decrease in legal entities (-4),” said the representative of the people and recalled that “for the whole 2021, the entire industry paid only UAH 21 million in taxes.”
Recall that over the past week, the NBU increased the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market – up to 460.31 million dollars.
However, in July Ukrainians sold more dollars than they bought. Net sales were $76.6 million per month.
