Three local state-owned factories have already started producing FPV drones, the Ministry of Strategic Industry said.
In Ukraine, three state-owned defense factories have already started producing FPV drones. This was said by the Adviser to the Minister for Strategic Industries Yaroslav Oleinik in a speech at the iForum conference, the press service of the Ministry for Strategic Industries of Ukraine reported.
“Now they are training the staff and working on arranging the purchase of ingredients. I cannot disclose the details for security reasons,” he said.
Oleinik also presented five key steps to achieve this goal. First of all, in his opinion, one should always give preference to the Ukrainian manufacturer.
“In the general concept of the development of the Ukrainian defense industry, we should be guided by economic nationalism. Let’s continue with the Ukrainian manufacturer,” the adviser to the minister emphasized.
He also added that the Ministry of Strategic Industry is working on scaling and developing the Ukrainian UAV market. To do this, they are looking for ways to partner with public and private manufacturers, localize the production of parts in Ukraine and cooperate with international investors, funds and manufacturers.
It should be noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially adopted the tenth model of the FPV drone.
Earlier, the commander of the National Guard, Colonel Alexander Pivnenko, spoke about the fierce war of combat drones. According to him, the Russians adopted the tactics of using UAVs from Ukrainian defenders.
