The average dollar exchange rate on the cash market is now UAH 37.55, while the euro exchange rate has increased to UAH 41.60.
The exchange rate of the hryvnia fell slightly at exchange offices against the dollar and the euro. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Wednesday, August 9.
So, the average dollar rate increased by 5 kopecks – up to 37.55 Hryvnia, the euro rate also increased by 5 kopecks – up to 41.60 Hryvnia.
In the exchange offices, the dollar was bought at an average of 37.00 Hryvnia, the euro at 40.90 Hryvnia.
The official fixed dollar exchange rate of the NBU since July 21 last year reached 36.5686 Hryvnia per dollar. On August 7, the official exchange rate of the euro rose slightly and reached UAH 40.0024 per euro (+0.0110 hryvnia).
Recall that over the past week, the NBU increased the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market – up to 460.31 million dollars.
However, in July Ukrainians sold more dollars than they bought. Net sales were $76.6 million per month.
