These companies did not comply with the conditions agreed upon during the delisting negotiations.
The National Corruption Prevention Agency reinstated the status of five Greek carriers on the list of international sponsors of war, as these companies did not comply with the conditions agreed upon during negotiations to remove them from the list. This was reported on August 7 by the NAPC press service.
Recently, the Ukrainian and Greek sides started negotiations, during which it was proposed to the companies to stop the practice of turning off transponders (devices for monitoring ship navigation, – ed.); reloading cargo from the side and openly condemned the Russian aggression.
The problem of switching off transponders and transshipment from side to side was solved in the 11th package of sanctions of the European Union. However, these five Greek companies failed to meet the demand for public condemnation of the Russian aggression within the stipulated time. Therefore, the NAPC restored their status on the list of “International sponsors of the war.”
In the summer of 2022, NAPC granted the status of war sponsors to five Greek companies – Dynacom Tankers Management (DTM), Delta Tankers LTD, Thenamaris Ships Management Inc., Minerva Marine and TMC Tankers LTD. The companies delivered Russian oil and oil products, thereby replenishing the budget of the Russian Federation and financing Russia’s aggression.
It will be remembered that in June the NAPC excluded the first company from the list of international sponsors of the war – the Irish Peninsula Petroleum Limited, which is the supplier of marine fuel to the world.
