The average exchange rate of one cash dollar in Ukraine was UAH 37.55, while the euro exchange rate rose to UAH 41.70.
The Ukrainian hryvnia fell slightly on the cash market at the start of the new working week. The single European currency also rose in price. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Monday, August 7.
So, the average dollar rate in Ukraine increased by 5 kopecks – to UAH 37.55, the euro exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks – to UAH 41.70.
In exchange offices, the dollar is bought at an average of 37.00 Hryvnia, the euro at 41.00 Hryvnia.
The official fixed dollar exchange rate of the NBU since July 21 last year reached 36.5686 Hryvnia per dollar. On August 7, the official exchange rate of the euro rose slightly and reached UAH 40.0024 per euro (+0.0110 hryvnia).
Recall that over the past week, the NBU increased the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market – up to 460.31 million dollars.
However, in July Ukrainians sold more dollars than they bought. Net sales were $76.6 million per month.
