According to last month’s results, for the first time since July 2022, Ukrainians sold more currency than they bought.
In June, the population of Ukraine sold cash and non-cash money to commercial banks in the amount of $1.675 billion (equivalent) and bought it in the amount of $1.657 billion. Foreign currency net sales totaled $17.8 million. This was confirmed by the data of the National Bank on Tuesday, July 4.
So, in June, the trend in the cash foreign exchange market changed – for the first time since July 2022, Ukrainians sold more currency than they bought.
In total, since the beginning of 2023, Ukrainians sold $8.457 billion and bought $10.347 billion. The net purchase of foreign currency reached 1.890 billion dollars.

It will be remembered that last week the NBU sold almost $533 million and bought $12.62 million. A total of $1.798 billion was sold in June.
