It was noted that yesterday, from 19:00 to 23:00, due to the lack of total capacity of power plants to cover night consumption, the energy system of Ukraine received emergency assistance from the energy system of Romania and Poland, 150 MW per hour with a total volume of 1200 MWh.
The lack of electricity in the power system appeared due to the emergency shutdown of one of the nuclear units. This morning, the power unit is operational and the load is gradually increasing, the report said.
The power engineers reminded that emergency assistance is not a commercial import. It is an ad hoc emergency response to balance the power grid. Our country can use emergency help from neighboring countries due to the simultaneous operation of the Ukrainian energy system with the European energy system ENTSO-E. At the same time, electricity was not imported and exported yesterday.
Currently, electricity generation is sufficient for the needs of consumers, but the situation in the energy system remains difficult. The repair campaign is ongoing in TPPs and some NPP units. Therefore, power plants have a limited ability to compensate for the unexpected exclusion of some power units from work, especially during the night hours when consumption increases.
Ukrenergo returned part of the equipment to one of the substations in the southern region, which was damaged three times as a result of the Russian rocket attack. Active restoration of all power facilities damaged by massive enemy attacks continues. Scheduled equipment repairs are also performed.
As a result of shelling by the Russians in the regions of Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Poltava, Kharkiv, there are damages to oblenergos networks. The repair is carried out under the condition of a safe situation.
Let’s remind, yesterday the Ministry of Energy declared accidents in electric networks. Also, due to the new shelling of the Russian aggressors, some consumers in the three regions were cut off.
