Such oil supplies to Pakistan provide Russia with a new market, in addition to sales to India and China.
The second batch of Russian oil with a volume of 55,000 metric tons has been delivered to the Pakistani seaport of Karachi. This was reported by the Daily Pakistan newspaper on Tuesday, June 27.
The delivery was carried out by the tanker Cloude Noble in accordance with the agreement between Pakistan and Russia.
As you know, on June 11, Pakistan received the first batch of Russian hydrocarbons, which reached 45,000 tons.
State Oil Minister Musadiq Malik said that Pakistan paid for the import of the first batch of oil from Russia in Chinese yuan.
Recall that in April Pakistan made its first order for Russian oil. And in January, representatives of Islamabad and Moscow agreed on the supply of Russian oil. Pakistan hopes that imports from Russia will make it possible to meet up to 35% of its oil needs in the future.
Such oil supplies to Pakistan would give Russia a new market besides sales to India and China as Moscow diverts oil from Western markets due to sanctions over its war against Ukraine.
