Now, from the zone of continental Europe to the Ukraine/Moldova block, the maximum available transmission capacity will increase by 150 MW, the report said.
It is noted that the import of electricity from the EU is a significant source of covering the possible deficit in the Ukrainian energy system.
“Together with European energy system operators, Ukrenergo continues to work on a gradual increase in the capacity of interconnectors available for commercial electricity exchange between the EU and Ukraine and Moldova,” added the powers engineer.
As you know, on June 7, 2022, ENTSO-E decided to gradually expand the capacity for electricity import/export. And the commercial electricity exchange in Europe started on 30 June. On April 18, ENTSO-E increased the technical capacity for importing electricity from Europe to Ukraine/Moldova to 1050 MW. The technical possibility for export from Ukraine/Moldova to Europe is 400 MW.
