A well-known aerial reconnaissance officer with the call sign “Madyar”, the commander of the “Ptakhi Madyar” group, announced an unprecedented collection of 350 million hryvnias for 20,000 kamikaze drones and 200 repeater wings.
FUIB transferred UAH 3 million for 200 kamikaze drones.
“I announce an unprecedented mega fundraiser for people’s drones. 20,000 people’s drones and 200 repeater wings will be given to support 100 units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We need to collect 350 million hryvnias from you. The number is unprecedented. But it is equivalent to the cost of three tanks. And there is no equivalent cost in the lives of the civilian population, who are now suffering daily from enemy air and missile strikes, fighters in front lines.”Madyar said.
The first batch, several thousand drones, has already been produced and will be sent to Ukraine immediately after the collection is completed. As of June 13, 2023, a little more than UAH 150 million has been collected. The collection will last until 06/14/2023. In total, since the beginning of the war, FUIB has sent more than 90 million hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Troops, the State Emergency Service, the National Police, the National Guard, the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Security Service of Ukraine. The transferred funds were used to purchase body armor and helmets, radio stations and thermal imagers, tactical backpacks, clothing and shoes, copters and cars, medicines and fuel. The bank’s social project “We are of the same blood” has already collected UAH 4 million for more than 2,000 tactical medical supplies, 2 low-temperature freezers for storing blood plasma, 4 patient monitors for among paramedics, 46 blood deliveries to hot spots (one delivery – up to a thousand saved lives). Also, more than a thousand Ukrainians became donors as part of the initiative.
