Weekly shipments remain below the grain corridor’s historical average.

Over the past week, 651 thousand tons of agro-industrial products were exported through the ports of the Odessa region, which is 65% more than the previous week. This was announced by the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UCAB) on Tuesday, June 13.

It is known that in the past week, 13 ships were loaded in the ports, which is 6 units more than the previous week. These vehicles are loaded, but they have not been inspected to continue moving to customers and waiting for him.

UCAB emphasized that these weekly shipments remain below average in the history of the grain corridor. In addition, only 7 ships were inspected at the entrance last week, which is a critically low number.

Above all, in the 45th week of operation of the grain corridor, the following were exported: corn (share in the total export structure – 54%), wheat (38%) and sunflower oil (7 %). Agricultural products are sent to Asia (Israel, Bangladesh, China and others), Africa (Egypt, Kenya) and Europe (Spain).

In total, since the beginning of the grain corridor from August 1, 2022 to June 11, 2023, Ukraine has exported 31.6 million tons of agricultural products.

Remember, on May 17, Ukraine, Turkey, the UN and Russia agreed to extend the grain agreement for another two months – until July 18. But after some time, the UN said that the grain agreement not fully functional.

It was only on June 5 that it became known that Russia had resumed the registration of ships under the grain deal.
