From June 5, banks will report to the National Bank of Ukraine on their clients’ card transactions.

Starting today, June 5, all banks in Ukraine will send data on their clients’ card transactions to the National Bank on a weekly basis. Report every Monday until 16:00 on non-cash payments for the previous week. This is stated in the letter of the NBU, which is at the disposal of the Ministry of Finance.

The data will be submitted with the name of the client or the name of the paying company.

The regulator will expect information from banks on the following types of transactions:

  • P2P transfers (transfer of funds between individuals);

  • replenishing or withdrawing cash from card accounts at cash desks or ATMs;

  • online payment;

  • transfer of funds from the card to the company’s current account or payments to customer cards from the company’s account;

  • transactions for any amount will be included in the report, since the letter does not separately indicate the threshold at which the transaction should be monitored.

Currently, data on all transactions in the amount of UAH 400,000 or more are automatically entered into the State Financial Monitoring Service.

Recall that earlier the National Bank established requirements for banks’ disclosure of information about customer relations in Russia. The NBU has the right to apply to the bank with a separate request to obtain information about the relations of clients and their counterparts in the aggressor state.

NBU named the most profitable banks
