The mandatory procedure for checking meters for all types of utilities has been continued in the country.
Verification of domestic water, heat and gas meters continued in Ukraine. This was stated in the related resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, which took effect on June 4.
Thus, citizens whose term for checking meters has expired must perform a new verification within three months after the end of the heating period.
The exception is citizens living in temporarily occupied territories. For them, the rules on suspension of meter verification for the period of martial law and state of emergency and for three months after its termination or cancellation will continue to apply.
In addition, for citizens living in zones of possible or active conflict, the time of meter verification is postponed for six months from the date of the end or cessation of hostilities. The list of such territories is approved by the Ministry of Reintegration.
In April last year, the verification of measuring equipment in Ukraine was stopped during martial law, as well as for three months after it. However, this regulation became invalid as of June 4, 2023.
Recall that on May 30, the Cabinet of Ministers almost doubled the tariff for electricity for household consumers – up to 2.64 UAH / kWh VAT. The Ministry of Energy assured that the second phase of the tariff increase has not yet been issued.
