In the cash market, the hryvnia continues to grow against the dollar and the euro. On Tuesday, May 30, RBC-Ukraine reports related to market monitoring data.
So, the average dollar exchange rate in Ukraine fell by 5 kopecks – up to 37.55 hryvnias in sales. In turn, the euro immediately fell by 15 kopecks – to 40.60 hryvnia per euro.
At the same time, exchange offices are now buying the dollar at an average of UAH 37.05, and the euro at UAH 39.90.
The official fixed dollar exchange rate of the NBU has not changed since July 21 last year and is 36.5686 hryvnia per dollar. On May 30, the official exchange rate of the euro dropped dramatically and now stands at UAH 39.1759 per euro (-0.1408 UAH).
Earlier it became known that in Ukraine the demand for cash euros has increased significantly. Overall, at the end of April, banks imported foreign currency into the country for a total of $812.1 million equivalent.
