At the start of a new working week, the US dollar rose slightly on Ukraine’s cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Monday, May 22.
Today, the dollar exchange rate on sale has increased by 5 kopecks – up to 37.60 Hryvnia per dollar. The euro exchange rate also increased by 5 kopecks – up to 41.00 hryvnia per euro.
In the cash market, the average dollar exchange rate in Ukraine is:

purchase – 37.10 UAH (37.05 – 19 May)

sale – UAH 37.60 (37.55 – May 19) per dollar.
The average euro exchange rate is:

purchase – UAH 40.30 (UAH 40.25 – May 19),

sale – 41.0 UAH (41.10 – May 19) per euro.
The official fixed rate of the NBU is UAH 36.5686 per dollar (effective from July 21, 2022). At the same time, the euro exchange rate decreased slightly on May 22 and is now at UAH 39.5179 per euro (-0.0292 UAH).
Recall that last week the exchange rate of the Ukrainian Hryvnia increased significantly in the cash market. The National Bank reduced the amount of foreign currency sold in the interbank market.
