According to him, the Ukrainian agricultural sector showed that it quickly adapted to work in war conditions, even despite the loss of production.
“In 2023, agricultural production will decrease by 10% compared to 2022, but production productivity, product export and the work of the domestic market will be maintained,” said Vysotsky in a discussion with business representatives of France on the topic “Sustainability of the Ukrainian economy: focus on the agricultural sector and logistics”, which took place in Kiev.
In addition, in the past few weeks, the issue of maintaining the export of Ukrainian products remains important. Due to restrictions on the work of the grain corridor, Ukraine exported more agricultural products to the EU.
The Deputy Minister added that the decision of the European Commission to extend for another year the zero duty on exports from Ukraine is a very positive signal and support.
It was previously reported that by 2023 the sown area in Ukraine will decrease by 7 million hectares, to 29 million hectares, and its structure will change.
It is also predicted that this year the total yield of grain crops in Ukraine will decrease by 60% in 2021, oilseeds – by 15%.
