On the first day of work, an online meeting was held between the leadership of the NBU and the World Bank.
The head of the National Bank Andriy Pyshny emphasized that the delegation is waiting for the expertise of the World Bank on issues such as working with non-performing loans in the banking sector, increasing the stability of the financial system during the war, including due to the assessment of the quality of banking assets.
In addition, he focused on the importance of the block of issues of the non-banking sector, in particular, on the challenges faced by the Ukrainian insurance market.
Pyshny emphasized that the development of a military-political risk insurance system is an important priority for the NBU, because without this type of insurance it is impossible to ensure the arrival of investors to Ukraine.
“We are working hard to move from discussing the concept of insurance of military-political risks to an operational plan as soon as possible. We are ready to move on this issue very quickly and move to concrete actions,” added head of the NBU.
