The process will begin on May 9, although it should have started on September 21. The company itself initiated changes to the schedule.
The National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities (NEURC) will conduct a scheduled inspection Ukrainergo. This was announced on May 8 by the press service of the regulator on Facebook.
It is known that the check will begin on May 9, although, according to the plan, it should take place in September.
As NEURC explains, Ukrainergo requested that the review be postponed to an earlier period “to avoid the unbalanced financial stability of the company.”
“The regulator went to meet the licensee and changed the start date of the scheduled inspection regarding compliance with the requirements of the law and licensing conditions in the energy sector NEK Ukrainergo from September 21 to May 9, 2023,” the release stated.
Recall that in April, unannounced inspections by the IAEA took place at the Rivne and Khmelnytsky NPPs.
