Goods provided free of charge by the Energy Community in aid of infrastructure restoration and repair are also subject to taxation.
In Ukraine, tax incentives for the import of generators and Starlink, introduced by the Verkhovna Rada in December 2022, amid Russian missile attacks on energy infrastructure, have ended. It was reported State Customs Service on Monday, May 1.
It is known that from now on VAT and import duties will be charged again for the following products: electric generator sets and parts for them; separate transformers, their parts, inverters; separate accumulators, including separators for them; systems for providing satellite Internet access (Starlink).
In addition, the goods provided by the Energy Community free of charge as assistance for the rehabilitation and repair of the infrastructure of electric power enterprises are subject to taxation.
Recall that only in mid-December 2022, almost 236,000 generators were brought to Ukraine tax-free.
It was also noted that Ukraine has received 42,000 Starlink terminals since the start of the war with Russia.
