Permanent representatives of EU countries agreed to continue the elimination of EU import duties on Ukrainian exports. This was revealed by Radio Liberty’s Europe editor Rikard Jozwiak at Twitter on Friday, April 28th.
According to him, European diplomats voted on Friday to extend duty-free trade with Ukraine for another year. The plenary session of the European Parliament on this issue will be held in May.
On the eve of the extension for another year of the elimination of duties for Ukraine, the Committee on International Trade of the European Parliament voted. We are discussing the continuation of the suspension of import duties, anti-dumping duties and protective measures related to Ukrainian exports to the EU to support the Ukrainian economy due to the aggressive war in part of Russia.
It will be recalled that on April 24, 2022, the Council of the European Union officially decided to temporarily remove duties and quotas on Ukrainian goods.
